Amateur video taken from the internet shows the devestation left by a series of tsunamis which smashed into the Pacific island nations of American and Western Samoa.

US sends help to Samoa tsunami victims

US President Barack Obama on Wednesday promised a "swift and aggressive" government response to the tsunami that hit American Samoa and neighboring islands claiming at least 113 lives. In this video the US Coast Guard in Sacramento prepares to transport representatives from the Coast Guard and FEMA to Hawaii Wednesday. From there they will continue to Samoa to assist the survivors affected by a tsunami.
